Mullvad, my VPN provider of choice, has announced that they will end support for port forwarding on July 1st. This post is both a public service announcement and a way for me to express my disappointment in this decision.
Port forwarding is an essential feature for me, and I'll have no choice but to switch to another provider. I've used Mullvad for over three years and I've never had a problem. They have an incredible reputation in the community as well, much better than other providers.
I haven't lost hope yet. There are a number of other deeply disappointed customers posting on their subreddit. Perhaps something will change between now and July.
